August Full Moon Hike

The Ice Age Trail Alliance – Lodi Valley Chapter invites you to join us for our August Full Moon Hike! We’ll treat ourselves to another spectacular evening on the Gibraltar Segment of the Ice Age Trail.
We'll hike up to the mesic prairie for a stunning view of the sun setting over Devil's Lake State Park to the west, just as the moon rises in the east. This magical alignment of sunset and moonrise happens each year in July and August—don't miss it! 
Not only will the sky be spectacular, but we're also celebrating Bill's birthday! Join us for cake at the bench overlooking Devil's Lake. Due to current fire conditions, the DNR won’t allow us to light all the candles Bill deserves—but we’ll still make it sweet. Are you celebrating a summer birthday too? Come along so we can celebrate you as well!
Our full moon hike is Thursday, August 7th, starting at the Slack ?Road trailhead at 7:30 pm.

Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather.  Bring a light as it may be dark at times. This will be a short (about a mile one way) walk.  Well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.
